Xi also spoke highly of the OCA's efforts to promote Chinese and Asian sport development, pledging that China will continue to support the work of the OCA.
Xi congratulated Lam on her victory in the election and ensuing appointment by the State Council. Lam won the chief executive election with 777 of 1,163 valid votes from members of the Election Committee on March 26.
Xi hosted nearly 70 bilateral and multilateral events, including nearly 10 multilateral ones and activities for the eight leaders making state visits, and he also met separately with all participating African leaders, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday.
