Shen Jun, chief scientist at Beijing Unistrong Science & Technology Cooperation, said precision agriculture applies technologies like global satellite navigation systems, remote sensing and automatic control systems over the whole farming process.
She stressed that Hong Kong cannot rest on its laurels, and "there are policy decisions we need to take, many investments to make and many people to connect to in order to stay competitive".
Shen said there had been an increase in the number of overseas flying schools owned by Chinese companies in the past five years, but the number was not high because most companies wanted to buy schools approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China or CAAC. But the owners of these companies were usually less willing to sell. There were also not that many CAAC-approved schools.
She visited China for the second time last year and said the change from her first trip 10 years ago was "astonishing".
She said the fact that China’s construction equipment companies are taking part in major international trade exhibitions shows the sector is advancing.
She noted that China's medical cosmetic industry is expanding at an annual compound growth rate of roughly 20 percent, and the shortage of related professionals will reach 3,000 by 2020. "Systematic and standard training is in urgent need for the industry."

She said that Hong Kong government is working to innovate its economy and hopes that dual-class share system could embrace more enterprises to list in the city.

Shen said, with such a large number of members, the company is able to conduct risk control in terms of underwriting, pricing and operation, ensuring that members can receive the agreed payment when they get sick.
She pointed that the bilateral and multilateral cooperation could be carried out under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
