Wang Qiao, director of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment's satellite applications center, said the two regions have grown so rapidly they now have huge population densities. They face arduous difficulties in coordinated environmental protection and economic development amid continued intense urbanization.

Wang oversees the segment launched by Alibaba back in 2014, which aims to increase trade between the country's remote regions and urban areas. Currently, about half of China's more than 1.3 billion residents live in the countryside.
Wang attributed the boom in entrepreneurships to an innovation program launched by Premier Li Keqiang in 2014. He said Li's initiative had sparked a huge interest among young people, leading to a big spike in the number of startups the following year.
Wang Peng, secretary-general of the Additive Manufacturing Alliance of China or AMAC, said after years of development, 3D printing is entering a new phase in China, from an innovative concept to something quite helpful in upgrading manufacturing plants, hospitals and even classrooms.
Wang Zhen, director of the Shanghai Housing Administration Bureau, said, "We estimate that at least 5,000 migrant workers-and their spouses and children-who work in these key public service areas will be accommodated in this housing by the end of the year, a rise of more than 60 percent from the previous year."

Wang also said that the central government not only audits the use of the funds but also pays attention to the qualification of those who benefit, which is also key to ensuring the funds are used properly.
Wang said the cooperation, featuring mutual support and assistance between developing countries and friends, has vitality and a promising future.
Wang Rui, an official with the bureau, said giving away dividends is not the long-term solution to improving the living standards of villagers.
